Life 2.0 Summit is curated by Dr. Dobb's Journal, a media brand recognized and trusted by developers worldwide, and one of the most venerable, innovative and influential publications in computing history -- early champions of the single-user PC, opensource, encryption, object-oriented programming, the Internet and other technologies now shaping the world in which we live. Life 2.0 Summit is also a collaboration of business and community stakeholders in metaverse development. We collectively seek to advance the state of the art in 3D multi-user virtual reality technology and platforms, and to inform ourselves, our peers and our organizations about best-practice in using these environments for customer engagement, commerce, collaboration, education, simulation, research and the creative arts.
Life2.0 Spring (March 15-21, 2008) will offer seven tracks — over 100 keynotes, presentations, panels and tutorials — covering best-practice for metaverse marketing, community nurturance and involvement, 3D commerce, metrics and ROI; tools and techniques for metaverse development and asset management; and will dive deep to explore technology and business opportunities offered by emerging virtual world platforms.
Those interested in teaching, speaking, demonstrating or presenting at Life 2.0 -- or in joining panels -- should email John Jainschigg (jjainschigg@cmp.com), Executive Director, CMP Metaverse, or contact him inworld (John Zhaoying).
